WHOLLY BEAUTIFUL!

No, but for real. This green beauty blogger is beautiful! Like TOK, she is in love with everything green. She has reviews for a ton of different products, and she will let you know what all of the must-haves are.

Her name? Lauren White. Her handle? You guessed it – @whollybeautiful

I asked Lauren a couple questions about her green beauty journey and what she thinks about our TOK Beauty Magnetic Lashes!

Why did you switch to green beauty?

My sister was a pioneer of sorts swapping all of her beauty products 10+ years ago, but I didn’t get into it then. I wasn’t interested until I worked in a salon and had experienced contact dermatitis on my hands and eczema on the back of my neck. Searching for answers, I came across a health and wellness podcast and one of the guests was Nadine Artemis, founder of Living Libations. I was so intrigued by her approach to beauty; I went home and purged practically everything I owned except for a few essentials! I stopped dying my hair for well over a year which is sort of a rarity in the hairdressing world. I’ve since embraced a wide variety of products because at the end of the day, I love having the ability to be creative – especially with my makeup! But I’m definitely selective with my products.

What are some of your must-haves for your favourite looks?

I have to start with well hydrated skin, otherwise nothing seems to lay right on my face! Then, I apply some sort of base makeup. Depending on the day and the look I’m trying to achieve, that can be anything from a little concealer like Clove + Hallow and a tinted serum (I am really loving the Ilia one right now!), to full faced with a cream foundation like Kjaer Weis or Au Naturale C2P . I also am a forever fan of fluttery lashes and red lips! Mascaras with the plastic bristle brushes seem to work best with my lashes. And for lipstick, I love Gia Minerals in the shade Curious or Honeybee Gardens in Queen Bee.

How did you come up with the name Wholly Beautiful?

I wanted a name that would embody the idea of beauty resonating from the inside out, of being ‘whole’ and complete. Beauty starts from within, from what we feed and fuel ourselves with, to our mindset, to the quality of ingredients we use in our products!

What is your best green beauty tip for 2019?

Know what’s in your products! Be picky, set standards for what is acceptable to you, and research as much as you can. There are so many great options on the market now – there really is something for everyone! And wear lipstick. Because nothing will make you feel more pulled together in a pinch 😉

How do you like the TOK Beauty Magnetic Lashes?

I love them! They take a little practice, but nothing elevates a look as quickly as lashes do. Not using glue is also great because there’s no drying time required, and these babies stay put until you’re ready to take them off!

What other green beauty accounts are you favourite and that you recommend people follow?

I started with Organicbunny, and really have a wide variety that I follow now! Chooseloveart is so creative and passionate. Conscious_bee is so uplifting and has great skincare recommendations. And I love kateydenno for using green products on all her celebs and clients!

Is there anything else we should know?

Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone…at the end of the day it’s just makeup and you can wipe it off and start fresh! And try new things, you might just find new favorites!

As you can see Lauren is knowledgeable and fun to follow! As a busy mom, she keeps up with the latest trends and knows what to use in the green beauty world!
Go give WhollyBeautiful a follow!

TOK soon,
Tara
